Job summary

Branch is a remote-first company redefining insurance finance. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll own the statutory process end to end and collaborate across Finance, Compliance, Legal and Insurance teams to ensure data is reliable, audit-ready, and aligned with regulations.

This senior individual contributor role with no direct reports will help scale our finance operations, improving transparency and supporting NAIC filings, RBC analysis, and forecasting tools while building internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in property & casualty insurance finance or accounting, preferably with GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and insurance accounting.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial outcomes and turning data into actionable reporting.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to contribute to team growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in documenting and maintaining financial processes to support efficient and accurate reporting.
• Analyze month-over-month changes in financial outcomes and provide clear reporting for leadership.
• Work with Data Office to identify controls and data availability for accurate reporting.
• Support the development of audit-ready documentation for key processes and controls.
• Direct the preparation and delivery of Statutory financial statements, including NAIC filings, RBC analysis, and RBC forecasting tools.
• Develop an internal control testing framework to support a growing audit function.
• Support review and documentation of cash handling processes and reconciliation procedures.
• Collaborate with Insurance and Compliance on data or regulatory requests for state expansion or reporting needs.
• Contribute to special projects to improve financial transparency, data readiness, or compliance.
