Job summary

Pitcoff Law Group in New York City seeks a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to lead complex business disputes, including partnership and shareholder matters, contracts, and fiduciary duty claims. You will own case strategy from intake to resolution and work directly with sophisticated clients in a remote-first environment with monthly in-person NYC meetings.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of substantial commercial litigation, first-chair trial experience, and NY Bar admission.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of substantial commercial litigation experience.
• Significant experience handling complex business disputes.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy in partnership, shareholder, business divorce, contract, fiduciary duty, and related disputes.
• Draft and argue substantive motions.
• Lead discovery, including complex document discovery and depositions.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Negotiate strategically and effectively on behalf of clients.
• Advise founders, executives, business owners, and companies on litigation strategy, risk, and practical business considerations.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients.
• Collaborate with firm leadership and colleagues on significant matters and case strategy.
• Take ownership of deadlines, case progression, and client expectations.
• Contribute to the continued development of the firm’s litigation practice.
