Orion Placement in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced plaintiff personal injury attorney to handle cases from pre-litigation through litigation. The role offers flexible hybrid work with most tasks done from home and occasional in-office days.

Candidates must be admitted to the Florida Bar with 1+ years PI experience, including depositions, mediations, and expert discovery. You will manage your own caseload, develop strategy, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with a dedicated legal team.

Qualifications

• Florida Bar admission is required.
• 1+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
• Experience in both pre-litigation and litigation.
• Hands-on experience with depositions, mediations, and expert discovery.
• Strong writing, negotiation, case management, and client communication skills.
• Experience in a higher volume personal injury practice strongly preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from pre litigation through litigation.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate claims, and drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in mediations.
• Coordinate expert discovery and work closely with medical and other professional experts.
• Prepare cases for litigation while identifying opportunities for favorable settlement.
• Draft persuasive legal documents, correspondence, discovery, and motions.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the life of their cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases efficiently.
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials when appropriate.
