Job summary

Altus Receivables is seeking Temporary First Party Collectors for a remote/telecommute position running Nov 9, 2026 through Dec 31, 2026. The role focuses on contacting debtors by phone, mail, or email to negotiate payment and resolve disputes while ensuring compliance.

You will work with clients, sales and peers on delinquent accounts, handling 80+ outbound/inbound calls, and meeting monthly phone and activity quotas.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, sales, telemarketing, or customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; data entry and Excel skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented.
• Ability to de-escalate tense conversations.
• Basic math and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 80 outbound/inbound calls.
• Negotiate payment in full or secure a payment arrangement.
• Create urgency on non-paying debtors.
• Work closely with Client Support Representative to resolve disputes.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Meet/exceed monthly phone, activity and fee quotas.
