Job summary

Calibratr is hiring a player-coach leader to own and scale its AI-native sourcing function for multiple client engagements. You will run high-bar searches, build a team and tooling, and establish a quality bar that matches founders’ real needs.

This is a remote-first role supporting US-based startups with rapid growth. You will oversee evidence-based sourcing, develop shortlists with rationale for each role, and continuously improve the sourcing workflow using Claude, Exa, and Ashby.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading sourcing teams and setting hiring strategy.
• Ability to build criteria and shortlists with clear rationale.
• Strong familiarity with AI-native sourcing tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set hiring thesis for each role with recruiter and hiring manager.
• Run evidence-based sourcing across client engagements with rationale.
• Own AI-native sourcing workflow and improve search strings, scoring, and calibration.
• Enforce quality bar, no-duplicate rules, and verbatim-source discipline.
• Hire, train, and QA a bench of contract sourcers.
• Own the sourcing scoreboard and report weekly.
• Source senior and staff-level roles in engineering, AI/ML, GTM.
• Read technical specs to distinguish real work from generic.
• Calibrate team and build a scalable sourcing function.
• Be fluent with AI-native tools and quickly adopt new ones.
