Job summary

Our client is a US-based organization seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant with a strong accounting and finance background. The role focuses on assessing the current environment, addressing a backlog of reporting and process needs, and building a scalable reporting infrastructure within D365.

The initial focus will be financial reporting, general ledger analysis, dashboard development, KPIs, inventory visibility, and standardized management reporting.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in finance and accounting environments.
• Strong accounting/finance expertise and ability to translate requirements into system solutions.
• Experience configuring or developing D365 financial reporting.
• Familiarity with general ledger, financial reporting, AP/AR, purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current D365 environment focusing on finance and accounting functionality.
• Identify reporting gaps, system limitations, and workflow issues with finance leadership.
• Develop enhanced financial reporting capabilities within or connected to D365.
• Improve GL analysis and access to underlying transactional data.
• Build dashboards and KPI reporting for finance and executives.
• Create standardized management reports as a single source of truth.
• Develop reporting supporting P&L, contribution, and period comparisons.
• Reduce reliance on Excel reports by implementing repeatable processes.
