Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to take true ownership of sophisticated matters with first-chair responsibility. The role offers remote work with strong in-person support and potential equity in an established practice focused on business, employment, and healthcare-related disputes.

Applicants must be Georgia-licensed with 5+ years of litigation and first-chair trial experience, and reside within ~75 miles of Atlanta to accommodate court appearances and client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Independently manage litigation matters from start to finish.
• Strong deposition, courtroom, motion practice, and legal writing skills.
• Analytical, negotiation, and client communication abilities.
• Experience in business, commercial, employment, construction, or covenant litigation preferred.
• Must reside within approximately 75 miles of Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from initial intake through resolution or trial.
• Serve as first-chair counsel and participate in courtroom strategy and advocacy.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Represent clients in contract disputes, restrictive covenant matters, employment and labor conflicts, construction disputes, and discrimination claims.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical guidance to clients.
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Research complex procedural, regulatory, and substantive legal issues.
• Collaborate with senior counsel and experienced paralegal support.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate strategy, risk, and case developments.
• Assist with corporate or transactional matters if interested.
