Essex Police is seeking a Firearms Caseworker for a 4-month contract to process applications, renewals, and licensing for firearms and shotguns. You will work remotely, manage multiple databases, and support the licensing team while ensuring compliance with policy and statutory obligations.

The ideal candidate has at least a year in admin, strong customer service, and meticulous attention to detail, with experience in handling confidential information and coordinating with police and public

Formación

• At least one year in an administrative role in a busy office.
• Experience delivering high-volume, customer-focused service.
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics; proficient IT skills.

Responsabilidades

• Process applications, renewals, variations, permits, and land exemptions.
• Maintain and update NFLMS records and create/modify PNC records.
• Conduct vetting checks and assess documentation for suitability.
• Handle payments and prepare certifications for approval.
• Provide information and guidance on firearms licensing procedures.
