Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with Fire Life Safety expertise to support FAA facilities under the NISC program. The role offers potential PE pathway and a remote work option with travel up to 50% across the central US.

Responsibilities include developing FLS codes, evaluating standards, and producing technical guidance for program initiatives within EOSH Services. Preferred candidates have a relevant degree with 4+ years experience or a Master's with 2+ years, PE or EIT, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 4+ years of exempt experience or Master's with 2+ years exempt experience.
• Professional Engineer License (PE) or EIT certificate.
• Strong working knowledge of ICC and NFPA codes.
• Experience developing and/or providing holistic consultation on FLS programs.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of FLS code and standards analyses.
• Provide guidance on applicability of codes to FAA facilities and projects.
• Develop technical guidance on design and construction issues.
• Assist with standard specifications for FAA installations.
• Support FLS program planning, prioritization, and stakeholder consultations.
• Author white papers, proposals, and analysis papers for FLS stakeholders.
