Job summary

A leading MEPF contractor based in Richmond, VA is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to design commercial fire protection systems. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and HydraCAD, and strong problem-solving skills. This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule. Applicants with military experience or NICET Level III are preferred. Salary range is between $90,000 to $130,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fire protection design.
• Must have direct experience designing commercial fire sprinkler systems.
• Field installation experience and NICET Level III or higher are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.
• Prepare detailed design layouts using AutoCAD and HydraCAD.
• Conduct field surveys and coordinate BIM 3D modeling efforts.
