Job summary

MVB Financial Corp. is seeking a Fintech Data Analyst to support analytics and reporting for the fintech partnerships business. You will evaluate deal economics, monitor profitability, and assist forecasting across deposit, NII, and fee revenue lines.

The role spans gaming, acquiring, issuing, BaaS, and payments, with collaboration across Sales, Account Management, Finance, and senior leadership. The position can be based remotely within the United States, requiring residency in a qualifying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related quantitative field.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, banking, or related analytic role.
• Advanced Excel skills including SUMIFS, pivot tables, modeling, and sensitivity analyses.
• PowerPoint proficiency for executive- and board-facing reporting.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with deposit and interest income modeling.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in high-stakes financial reporting.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines independently.
• Familiarity with banking, payments or fintech industry is a plus.
• SQL, Python or other data analysis tools experience is a plus.
• Prior exposure to Investment Committee or board reporting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains financial models for fintech clients, including deposit balances, NII, and fee revenue projections in partnership with Sales and Account Management.
• Conducts scenario and sensitivity analyses to test assumptions related to ramp, rate environment, and volume growth.
• Evaluates onboarding economics against benchmarks to inform deal structuring and pricing decisions.
• Analyzes client-level profitability after launch and flags margin compression or pricing issues.
• Translates profitability findings into pricing or contract renegotiation recommendations with Sales.
• Monitors KPIs across the client portfolio to identify outliers and risks.
• Supports monthly fintech performance reporting, executive presentations, and board materials.
• Maintains rolling forecasts across NII and deposit workstreams with client ramp assumptions.
• Coordinates with Finance, Treasury, and Data teams to ensure data consistency.
