Job summary

MVB Bank, Inc. is seeking a Fintech Data Analyst to support financial analytics and reporting for our fintech partnerships business.

The role covers deal economics, profitability monitoring, and forecasting across deposit, NII, and fee revenue lines across multiple verticals such as gaming, acquiring, issuing, BaaS, and payments. You will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Finance and senior leadership to drive insights, pricing decisions, and post-launch performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable education in a quantitative field.
• 2–3 years of financial analysis, FP&A, banking, or related analytical experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including SUMIFS, pivot tables, modeling and scenario analysis.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive- and board-facing reporting.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with comfort modeling deposit balances and interest income.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains financial models for fintech clients, including deposit balances, NII, and fee revenue projections.
• Conducts scenario and sensitivity analysis for ramp, rate environment, and volume growth.
• Evaluates onboarding economics against benchmarks to inform deal structuring and pricing decisions.
• Analyzes client-level profitability post-launch and identifies margin issues or unfavorable trends.
• Translates profitability findings into pricing or contract renegotiation recommendations.
• Monitors KPIs across the client portfolio to identify outliers and risks.
• Supports monthly fintech performance reporting, including revenue reports and board materials.
• Maintains rolling forecasts across NII and deposit workstreams with client ramp assumptions.
• Prepares materials for senior leadership and board reviews.
• Acts as a financial analytics resource to Sales and Account Management throughout the lifecycle.
• Communicates financial analyses clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinates with Finance, Treasury, and Data teams to ensure data consistency.
