Job summary

Salesberry Group is seeking an Associate to assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and analysis, reporting to a Senior Associate. This role emphasizes accuracy, timely updates, and proactive client communication while supporting evolving needs of mission-driven clients.

Core tools include QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Google Suite, Asana, Keeper, and Slack is a plus. Remote work from anywhere in the continental US; no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Experience working in a remote team environment
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer/client engagement and relationship management
• Willingness to assist in any and all operational needs of a client
• Strong attention to detail and completeness
• Comfort working in an evolving team and willingness to embrace change and take initiative to ensure quality services
• 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or similar field)
• Working understanding of GAAP
• Extensive experience and/or certification with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Google Suite/Workspace, Asana, Keeper, and Slack
• A desire to support progressive organizations and their missions

Responsibilities

• Client Bookkeeping: Complete tasks for clients, including processing bill payments, reconciling accounts, organizing expense documentation, managing supporting documentation, executing client invoicing and accounts receivable, and processing payroll.
• Monthly Reporting: Assist with the preparation and input for monthly reporting and budgeting, ensuring accuracy in financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and identify trends.
• Financial Platforms and Processes: Assist in ensuring financial platforms and processes are effectively used, implemented, and meet the needs of our clients.
• Special Project Support: Assist with administrative tasks as assigned to support special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
