Job summary

William & Mary, the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, seeks a Financial Data & Reporting Analyst to help deliver accurate, timely financial and operational reporting that informs leadership decisions.

You will prepare recurring reports, perform budget-to-actual analyses, and develop Power BI dashboards and Excel tools while translating findings for both technical and nontechnical audiences. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong Excel and BI skills, and experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, information systems, statistics, mathematics, public administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with structured data, spreadsheets, reports, or datasets in professional, internship, academic, or applied settings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data reporting functions.

Responsibilities

Maintain recurring financial, enrollment, and operational reports for leadership and administrators.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel tools, with clear documentation.
Perform budget-to-actual, revenue, expenditures, enrollment, and trend analyses.
Investigate discrepancies and ensure data quality; coordinate with data owners.
Prepare concise summaries and presentations explaining variances, trends, and results.
