Job summary

Lightstar, an affiliate of Eagle Creek Renewable Energy LLC, is seeking a highly motivated accounting leader to join our team. The role focuses on financial reporting, project accounting, budgeting, and cash management for a growing portfolio of solar development projects.

You will lead a small finance team, collaborate with development, legal, and asset management teams, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and tax requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• MBA or related master's degree is a plus.
• 7–10 years of accounting/finance experience with 3–5 years in a senior role.
• Renewable energy development experience, community solar preferred.
• Knowledge of development lifecycle from site control through LNTP and project sale.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per US GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and oversee AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Manage chart of accounts reflecting a multi-project development model.
• Oversee capitalization policies for development costs and LNTP treatment.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting and tax obligations.
