Job summary

UW–Madison's Department of Radiology is hiring a Transactional & Reporting Financial Analyst to oversee its transactional team and provide comprehensive financial management and oversight across the Department of Radiology.

Based largely remote with occasional on-site work, the role focuses on non-salary budgets across multiple funding sources, ensuring funding is used appropriately and compliant with institutional policies.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience analyzing financial transactions, managing ledgers, and preparing reports.
• Understanding UW policy and procedures related to purchasing, billing, cash handling, and financial operations.
• Experience supervising, leading, training or directing staff is preferred; advanced Excel skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, verifies, audits financial charges, credits and authorizes payments.
• Oversees financial operations, status and reporting for multiple areas; coordinates data management and budgeting.
• Plans and directs financial operations; prepares management reports and analyzes financial information.
• Ensures compliance with fiscal policies, regulations and guidelines across funding sources.
• Supports development and monitoring of automated financial information systems.
• Responds to complex financial inquiries from department faculty and staff.
