Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team. You will contribute to monthly business reviews, quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and robust financial modeling to drive cross-functional alignment and strategic decisions through data.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical with strong problem-solving, presentation and communication skills, proficient in spreadsheets, and has a solid grasp of accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Experience with financial modeling and spreadsheets.
• Ability to travel for company events.

Responsibilities

• Analyze unit economics, drivers of variance, and other KPIs.
• Support quarterly and annual planning, forecasting, reporting, and monthly budget reviews.
• Analyze commercial initiatives with strategic or financial impact.
• Create objective analyses for scalable, data-driven decisions.
• Support cross-functional change projects to improve systems and data accuracy.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders against financial and strategic targets.
