Job summary

Lewis & Clark College is seeking a Financial Aid Analyst for Educational Loans to administer federal and private loan programs, reconcile grants, and support loan workflows across multiple campuses.

You will originate loans, certify eligibility, and monitor disbursements while ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The role emphasizes accuracy, service to students and families, and collaboration with the Financial Aid Office and Business Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years in financial aid or related field.
• Knowledge of federal student aid programs and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Educate student and parent borrowers on loan products and processes.
• Originate Federal Direct Loans (Stafford, Parent PLUS) per federal rules.
• Certify private loan eligibility and manage certification via ELM portal.
• Monitor loan disbursements and ensure timely processing and compliance.
• Perform monthly/annual reconciliation of grant, work-study, and loan funds.
• Prepare loan summaries and exit packets for departing borrowers.
