Job summary

techchaintalent seeks a Finance Lead to own our finance, accounting, tax, payroll, and treasury operations, shaping financial decisions for a fast-moving company in the crypto space. This hands-on role blends strategic finance work with execution across traditional finance and digital assets.

You will wear multiple hats in a fully remote role, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable scalable growth and robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• Trustworthy and discreet when handling sensitive financial data.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Meaningful understanding of crypto/blockchain.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to wear many hats in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis: track cash balances, build models, forecast profits, analyse metrics to inform decisions, support pricing strategy.
• Accounting and Financial Reporting: work with bookkeepers, manage monthly close, reconcile statements, investigate discrepancies, support cash-to-accrual transition.
• Tax and Compliance: coordinate state and federal filings, manage tax payments, support cross-jurisdictional tax matters, ensure filings accuracy.
• Treasury and Payments: execute payments via payroll platforms, manage intercompany transfers, track on-chain and off-chain movements.
• HR and Payroll: manage hiring contracts in HR/payroll platforms, run payroll across methods including fiat and crypto, ensure payroll tax compliance.
• Operations: onboard/offboard team members, manage vesting schedules, monitor mail and handle other tasks.
