Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Finance Data Integrity Analyst to ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial data. You will support the chart of accounts maintenance, contribute to internal controls, and work with campus stakeholders to clean and organize data.

Responsibilities include analyzing data, tracking quality issues, and recommending process improvements to enhance financial reporting. This role offers remote work options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving.
• Experience leading automation projects.
• Experience analyzing large quantities of data and documenting requirements, workflows, rules and processes.
• Experience with data analytic and reporting programs (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) and/or SQL.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis on financial chart of accounts data to ensure accuracy.
• Identify, document, and track finance data quality issues.
• Coordinate with business owners, subject matter experts, and campus representatives to clean existing data and upload new data.
• Assist with the implementation of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Periodically review accounting transactions for accuracy and adherence to UT Accounting policies.
• Assist with accounting clean-up by identifying redundant data attributes.
• Assist with documenting the accounting chart of accounts and related business processes.
• Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance data quality.
