Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Non-Investment Finance Expert (CL Funnel) for a remote contract role. The candidate will build and review financial deliverables, including PnL, mark-to-market reconciliations, and 3-statement models, while evaluating AI-generated outputs against professional standards.

The role requires 3+ years in a hands-on non-investment finance position, strong US GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and advanced Excel modeling. Certifications such as CPA/CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and review deliverables such as PnL and mark-to-market reconciliations, vendor payment reconciliations, and integrated 3-statement models.
• Evaluate AI-generated attempts against professional standards in complex, document-heavy finance scenarios.
• Reason from primary sources like term sheets and trial balances to identify material information.
• Write clear CFO/partner-ready narratives explaining assumptions, variances, and recommendations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to produce expert-grade finance work products.
