The role emphasizes scientific rigor, dataset curation, and publication of findings, with a remote-first environment and a generous compensation package including equity and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• PhD strongly preferred in finance or related field; MBA/CFA also considered.
• Experience conducting rigorous research and building evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to translate financial problems into measurable research questions.

Responsibilities

• Design, own, and evolve evaluation frameworks for AI agents in financial domains.
• Conduct original research on financial reasoning and workflow automation.
• Develop and curate datasets and benchmark environments for finance challenges.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product teams to improve finance models.
• Analyze model behavior and publication-ready insights to guide priorities.
• Publish internal findings and best practices on AI capabilities in finance.
• Stay current with advances in AI, ML, and financial modeling.
