Job summary

PALFINGER is hiring two experienced Field Service Technicians to service customer equipment in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

You will perform field repairs and troubleshooting on cranes and heavy equipment, with quarterly maintenance and DOT inspections, while maintaining documentation and safety standards. The role requires at least 3 years of mechanical experience, English proficiency, and a valid CDL or ability to obtain one within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanical experience or training with emphasis on articulating cranes and forklifts.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have a valid CDL driver’s license or obtain one within 60 days of employment.
• Supply own tools; PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform field repairs and troubleshooting of articulating cranes, truck-mounted equipment, conveyors, trucks and trailers.
• Provide quarterly preventive maintenance per customer schedule and annual DOT inspections.
• Carry out emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during and outside working hours.
• Communicate mechanical issues and required repairs to site or fleet managers.
• Prepare service documentation including estimates, work orders, parts, labor and inventory records.
• Adhere to state and federal safety regulations and keep the vehicle and job site clean and organized.
