Job summary

Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company LLC is seeking a Field Service Specialist to perform comprehensive field service activities on turboexpander packages, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.

You will inspect, maintain, overhaul and repair equipment, support startup and performance testing, interpret drawings and manuals, and travel up to 75–100% across the United States and internationally. A valid driver’s license and DOT readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing turboexpanders, rotating equipment, turbines, or comparable industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities and repair competencies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, instruction manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Proficient with precision measurement instruments and alignment tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (US and internationally).
• DOT pre-employment and random testing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service activities on turboexpander packages according to OEM procedures and industry standards.
• Support startup, commissioning, and performance testing phases; ensure smooth handover to customers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operational issues.
• Prepare detailed service reports with findings, responses, and performance metrics.
• Interpret complex drawings, P&IDs, and specifications to guide maintenance strategies.
• Perform precision alignment, vibration analysis, bearing inspections, and use measurement tools.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and project managers to ensure timely completion of service projects.
• Maintain safety compliance and customer-specific requirements; promote safe working environment.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customer maintenance personnel.
• Manage field service tools, equipment, and parts inventory; keep accurate service records.
