Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Senior Director Team Lead (RMSD TL). This credentialed medical expert will lead a field-based team of RMSDs, enforce SOPs, and drive field medical plans and company research initiatives.

The role may also support USMA and GMSA objectives. The RMSD TL will recruit, onboard, coach, and assess team performance, ensuring ethical compliance and effective scientific dialogue across geography.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, or DO credential required.
• Minimum 3+ years in a field-based medical role with customer engagement experience.
• Strong knowledge across therapeutic areas and FDA/HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a field-based medical affairs team; manage performance and development.
• Plan and execute disease state plans; coordinate with USMA and GMSA as needed.
• Oversee budget and expenses as a financial steward of company resources.
