Job summary

Lumentum Operations LLC is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our Cloud & Networking Platform team. You will provide pre-sales technical support, engage with Tier 1 customers, and help drive design-ins across datacenter and GPU cluster applications.

The role requires interaction with Sales, Product Line Management, and R&D, with travel domestically and internationally. Candidates should have a degree in physical sciences or electrical engineering and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

Requires a degree in physical sciences or electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years engineering experience designing/developing or testing coherent optical modules.
Practical knowledge of transceiver hardware and firmware/hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

Negotiate technical specifications and performance trade-offs with customers to satisfy system needs.
Participate in customer design reviews and respond to RFIs/RFQs.
Work with sales to collect customer requirements and application use cases.
Assist in bringing up transceiver modules at customer sites and develop solutions.
Maintain primary customer product documentation including tests and qualification plans.
