Job summary

Teradyne’s Defense and Aerospace Division seeks an energetic Field Application Engineer to design and optimize test solutions for military and aerospace electronics. The role emphasizes collaboration with the FAE team and direct customer engagement to define hardware, software and test-cell integration.

Requirements include a bachelor’s or higher in electrical/computer engineering, 5+ years in test engineering, and programming on Teradyne/ATE platforms. Travel >50% and ITAR compliance are noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of test engineering experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal and RF testing and test development.
• Prior programming experience on Teradyne or ATE platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, C++ and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and deploy test solutions for Digital, Analog and RF based assemblies.
• Test program software development, often done independently.
• Interface test adapter schematics design and layout review.
• Analyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platform.
• Work with customers to understand and improve test processes.
• Release to production of the test solution with environmental and automation requirements.
