Job summary

Teradyne's Defense & Aerospace Field Applications team seeks an energetic Field Application Engineer to develop and deploy test solutions for digital, analog and RF assemblies. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize test processes and ensure successful deployments.

Requirements include a 5+ year background in test engineering, experience with Teradyne or ATE platforms, and proficiency in C/C++/C# on Windows in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in electrical/computer engineering or related fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of test engineering or similar work.
• Test/Product engineering experience in analog, digital, mixed signal and RF testing and test development preferred.
• Prior programming experience on Teradyne or ATE platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, C++ programming and Windows.
• Possess team skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willing to travel (>50%).
• Must be able to carry auto liability or minimum insurance due to automotive responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and deployment of test solutions for Digital, Analog and RF based assemblies.
• Test program software development, often done independently.
• Interface Test Adapter schematics design and layout review for a test solution.
• Analyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platform.
• Work with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes.
• Improve quality of test coverage and recommend improvements.
• Release to production of the test solution with environmental and automation requirements.
• Define customer requirements for hardware, software and test cell integration.
