Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as a subject-matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role collaborates with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate patient access to therapy.

You will educate providers on access processes, analyze payer coverage, and coordinate with hub vendors to resolve access barriers. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• 7+ years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial).
• Experience with hub and patient support activities.
• Remote work experience and ability to travel 20–25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and benefits, in live or virtual formats.
• Analyze access trends and collaborate cross-functionally to address barriers.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support patient access to therapy.
• Monitor payer trends and educate field teams on access issues and hub programs.
• Escalate and coordinate on access issues with third parties and hub vendors.
• Educate HCP offices on product hub programs and payer coverage changes.
• Attend national and regional meetings to stay aligned with policy changes.
