Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consultant, Environmental Permitting FERC Specialist, to support permitting and compliance for energy infrastructure projects across the United States. The role combines field and office work, with travel to client locations as needed.

You will conduct environmental analyses, prepare concise technical documents, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to navigate FERC regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality consulting services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural science or engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of applicable work or internship experience.
• Up to 40% travel.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Experience with desktop and online studies on natural resources topics; GIS; map interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records and survey reports.
• Assist with preparation of technical project documents and calculations.
• Develop project plans and schedules; support management reporting.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies; provide recommendations.
• Support field and desktop-based permitting work for natural gas pipelines, LNG terminals, and other energy projects.
