Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consultant, Environmental Permitting FERC Specialist to help move energy projects through regulatory and permitting processes nationwide. The role combines field and office work, with travel up to 40% to support pipelines, LNG terminals, and other energy developments.

You'll contribute to technical analyses, documentation, and project reporting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory success and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a natural science or engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of applicable work or internship experience.
• Up to 40% travel.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate regulatory requirements for energy projects.
• Maintain records and survey reports.
• Assist with preparation of technical project documents and calculations.
• Support project plans, schedules, and monthly progress reports.
• Communicate with clients to request information and provide recommendations.
• Support field and desktop-based permitting for natural gas pipelines and LNG terminals.
