Job summary

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Security Engineer (FedRAMP) to join a fast-paced cybersecurity team. You will lead security design reviews, assess CSP architectures, and guide FedRAMP compliance with NIST, RMF, and agency standards.

Responsibilities include documenting assessments, guiding CSPs through security gaps, and supporting continuous monitoring. Remote work is allowed with a strong emphasis on trust and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Five years of IT security experience
• Direct experience as Security Engineer or System Architect for FedRAMP CSPs
• Four years of hands-on technical experience as System Architect or Security Engineer
• Current experience reviewing 3rd party security assessment reports
• Strong knowledge of NIST, RMF, FedRAMP and agency security requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed architecture and technical design reviews on the full stack for vendor solutions
• Conduct CSP architecture reviews to validate secure design and FedRAMP alignment
• Lead architecture interviews with CSPs to ensure critical control areas meet program requirements
• Develop architecture briefing documents for government program managers and CISO
• Review CSPs FedRAMP documentation and address gaps with CSPs
• Review CSPs assessments and prepare briefing packages after 3PAO audits
• Collaborate with FedRAMP Lead to provide security engineering services
• Support Continuous Monitoring activities and risk acceptance reviews
• Interpret FedRAMP and agency requirements for vendors
• Stay informed on FedRAMP guidance and government cybersecurity directives
• Conduct security reviews of technologies for CSP authorization boundary
• Oversee relationships with contractor-owned/operated systems
• Assist stakeholders with IT security activities to meet deadlines
• Ensure systems are operated and disposed per security policies
• Research IT security systems for architectural insights
