Job summary

Precision Collective seeks an experienced Retirement and Benefits Counselor to provide retirement and benefits counseling support to Department of the Navy civilian personnel. This part-time role focuses on Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).

The successful candidate will review service computation, briefing Navy personnel, and delivering clear, accurate counseling on FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, and related topics, with strong proficiency in Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience.
• Experience counseling retirement and benefits for DoD civilian personnel.
• Strong understanding of federal benefits programs and government civilian environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Counsel government civilians on retirement eligibility and the preparation and submission of retirement packages.
• Provide guidance on FEHB, ACA, and Medicare.
• Advise employees on FEGLI, TSP, FSA, FEDVIP, and LTC options.
• Counsel on CSRS, CSRS-Offset, and FERS benefits.
• Provide information on Social Security and death benefits.
• Brief Navy civilian personnel on retirement topics.
• Review total time in service and related documentation.
• Prepare written materials, briefings, and employee communications.
• All other duties as assigned.
