Job summary

FYI - For Your Information, Inc. is seeking an experienced Retirement & Benefits Counselor to advise Federal employees on FERS/CSRS, FEHB, FEGLI, and related benefits, including complex cases. You will deliver expert one-on-one counseling and lead seminars on retirement planning.

You will coordinate new employee orientations, support Open Season activities, and perform OPF audits while advising HR leadership. Remote work options are available based on contract or position.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of Federal Retirement & Benefits Experience counseling and processing Federal employee retirement and benefits actions.
• Strong knowledge of Federal retirement regulations, benefits programs, OPFs reviews, SCDs, FERCCA, deposits, and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide Federal retirement and benefits counseling and processing for complex cases (FERS, CSRS, FEHB, FEGLI, FEDVIP, FSA, LTC, survivor benefits, death benefits).
• Offer expert one-on-one retirement counseling to employees at all levels, including SES and Political Appointees.
• Conduct retirement planning seminars covering FERS, CSRS, TSP, Social Security, and long-term planning.
• Coordinate new employee orientations every pay period on benefits, pay, attendance, and forms.
• Coordinate Federal Benefits Open Season activities, communications, marketing, and event logistics.
• Audit OPFs to identify and correct benefits and retirement issues (FERCCA, SCDs, deposits, LWOP, coverage).
• Provide SME guidance to Benefits Specialists and HR leadership on Federal retirement and benefits programs.
