Job summary

Olsson is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering & Design Team in Lincoln, NE. The role requires applying standard electrical engineering practices to develop code‑compliant designs for federal clients, including military and government facilities.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare calculations and drawings, and support project scope, schedule, and budget while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, federal standards, and regulatory requirements; experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical engineering duties related to evaluation, design, and documentation of electrical systems for federal projects.
• Develops constructible, code‑compliant designs and evaluates minor adaptations to meet project needs.
• Prepares calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates according to codes and agency requirements.
• Coordinates electrical design elements with other disciplines and project teams to support outcomes.
• Maintains project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; communicates progress with project managers.
