Job summary

Fortress Information Security is seeking a FastLane Product Associate for a 12-month, full-time remote role. You will own product projects from research to delivery, working with product managers, engineers, and customers on supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance for critical infrastructure clients.

Ideal candidates are early-career, eager to gain hands-on product experience, and comfortable using AI tools for research, writing, and prototyping.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of professional experience in product, software, data, or a related field (internships, co-ops, and academic projects count).
• Comfortable using AI tools for research, writing, analysis, and prototyping, and able to judge output quality and use approved tools responsibly per Fortress policy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, domains, and workflows quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own defined product projects from research through delivery, with guidance from product managers.
• Research customer workflows, regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, DoD cybersecurity frameworks), and competitor offerings to inform product decisions.
• Draft user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and data sets to identify problems and opportunities.
• Build prototypes, mockups, or automations using approved AI and low-code tools to test ideas quickly.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and roadmap discussions.
• Prepare clear written and presented summaries of findings for product leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Support customer-facing activities such as demos, discovery calls, and pilot programs.
• Other duties as assigned
