Job summary

Angel Studios is seeking an Environment Concept Artist for The Wingfeather Saga Animated Series. You will work with the Art Director to craft environments, interiors, and exteriors, developing mood boards, pre-visuals and production-ready concepts for a fantasy world.

Ideal candidates will have fantasy art experience, familiarity with Unreal Engine a plus, and be able to thrive in a remote team. The role is full-time and based in the United States with some remote work options.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of art fundamentals including composition, perspective, color theory, lighting, proportion, and surface properties.
• Ability to work within a remote art department and take feedback from leadership.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Art Director to design environments, interiors and exteriors.
• Create concept designs ranging from world-building mood to detailed, production-ready visuals.
• Produce sketches, mood boards, 3D mockups, and finished concepts.
• Develop callouts describing material properties, construction, scale, and functionality for other teams.
• Attend regular staff meetings and communicate progress and blockers.
