Job summary

Wellroot Family Services is seeking a First Steps Coordinator to support community families in Tucker, GA. You will develop and implement programs, ensuring access and proper resources for parents.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in human services and experience working with diverse populations. Responsibilities include coordinating parenting education and services while maintaining effective partnerships within the community. This is an exempt role with a starting salary range of $40,000 to $42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in human services, social work or related field.
• Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan for serving families in the community.
• Ensure that all parents are provided with adequate materials for First Steps.
• Coordinate activities of the First Steps program in the community.

Skills

Bilingual (Spanish)

Experience in human services or social work

Ability to establish trusting relationships

Knowledge of infant and child development

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field

High school diploma or equivalent
