Ideal candidates hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, active California Bar license, and 5+ years of legal experience, with family law preferred or strong civil litigation background and excellent writing skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Five or more years of legal experience.
• Family law experience preferred; civil litigation experience with interest in family law will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned family law matters, including case progression, deadlines, filings, and client communication.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, and other substantive legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to litigation strategy, case preparation, and resolution.
• Communicate proactively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Collaborate with firm leadership and support staff to maintain organized, responsive case management.
• Identify potential issues early, exercise sound judgment, and seek guidance when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established workflows and procedures.
