Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Fabric Data Engineer focused on data security and DevOps to design, build, and maintain secure data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric. You will work with Lakehouse, Data Factory, and OneLake, implementing encryption, access control, and governance across pipelines.

You will partner with security, compliance, and platform teams to embed security and reliability, while leveraging Azure and containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building production data pipelines and platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Spark) or related Microsoft analytics services.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure) and their security services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize secure ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows in Fabric and related tools.
• Build and maintain Lakehouses and data platforms with strong encryption and access controls.
• Implement data security measures: encryption, masking, labeling, and secure sharing.
• Apply DevOps practices to CI/CD pipelines for Fabric workspaces and IaC.
• Monitor pipelines for security events and performance; respond to incidents.
• Document architectures, runbooks, and security controls.
