Job summary

Amentum seeks a Fabric Data Engineer with a Data Security & Dev Ops focus to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric. You will implement encryption, access controls, and governance while automating deployment and monitoring.

This role collaborates with security, compliance, platform, data science, and engineering teams to embed security and reliability across the data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and related Azure analytics services.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Knowledge of data security and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize secure ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Fabric.
• Build Lakehouses and data platforms with encryption and access controls.
• Implement data security measures: encryption, masking, and fine-grained access.
• Apply DevOps for CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing for data services.
• Monitor pipelines with security-focused observability and incident response.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and platform teams across data lifecycle.
• Document architectures and runbooks; contribute to best practices.
