Job summary

Relativity is seeking an Advanced Security Engineer to strengthen exposure management across the technology estate. You will identify internet-facing assets, prioritize exposure backlog, and orchestrate remediation with owning teams to reduce residual risk.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, attack surface management, cloud security, or related security engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, exposure management, or attack surface management platforms and the analysis of vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, unmanaged assets, and security posture findings.
• Experience prioritizing exposures using factors such as exploitability, asset criticality, internet exposure, threat intelligence, compensating controls, and business context, not severity scores alone.
• Working knowledge of OS, networks, containers, APIs, and at least one major cloud platform.
• Familiarity with CVSS, CISA KEV, EPSS, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Proficiency in a scripting/automation language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to translate complex exposure data into prioritized findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize exposure and external attack-surface discovery to identify internet-facing assets.
• Reconcile results with inventories, investigate gaps, and improve attribution to owners.
• Develop repeatable workflows to reduce latency and increase coverage and data quality.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, correlating findings with exploitability and asset criticality to build a defensible exposure backlog.
• Resolve exposure analysis for high-impact issues and communicate significance to tech and non-tech audiences.
• Partner with security teams to validate prioritization and improve correlation between exposures and exploitability.
• Maintain inventory and risk views for containers and APIs, ensuring live context aligns with deployment.
• Integrate external and internal threat intelligence into exposure scoring and timely notifications when intelligence changes priority.
• Build dashboards and reports showing residual risk by department, asset class, and age.
• Coordinate exposure-reduction campaigns and track progress and blockers with owning teams.
