Job summary

APT Research is seeking a part-time Explosives Safety Site Planner to support ESSP at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This role can be operated remotely and requires extensive DoD(W) explosives safety experience.

Responsibilities include developing QD and NEW calculations, reviewing ESSP documents, and guiding plan approvals with DoD and Air Force criteria. A SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in DoD(W) explosives safety.
• Experience as Explosives Safety Manager or primary Explosives Safety Site Planner.
• Ability to multitask on multiple ESSP projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Review ESSP documents and forecasts.
• Develop QD and NEW calculations using government software.
• Prepare manuals for ESSP routing and approvals.
• Provide government recommendations on plan acceptability.
