Qualifications

• Five or more years of senior leadership experience in a charter school operational or financial capacity; six years or more preferred.
• Budget management skills: analysis, decision-making and reporting.
• Strong organizational abilities: planning, delegating, development and task facilitation.
• Ability to convey an inspiring vision of the strategic future to all stakeholders.
• Collaborative decision-making with board, volunteers, staff.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and leads an effective school support leadership team.
• Leads GVAC to provide high-value, cost-effective support services for member charter schools.
• Supports GVAC member schools to improve academic performance with resources and guidance.
• Articulates mission, values, and behavioral expectations driving excellence.
• Oversees governance, budgeting, policy, and compliance with legal requirements.
• Develops a strategic plan, operational goals, and standards to support member schools.
• Builds a culture of integrity, rigor, and collaboration across the organization.
• Partners with the Board to update bylaws, monitor progress, and plan strategically.
• Directs marketing, fundraising plans, donor relations, and communications.
