Job summary

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation seeks an Executive Director, Agentic Lab and Architecture Lead to define enterprise agentic AI architecture and standards. Remote role in the U.S. with 10%+ travel expected.

Reporting to the Head of Agentic Factory, you will drive the innovation roadmap, evaluate models and frameworks, and build reusable patterns to enable scalable, governance-first deployment across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years designing enterprise software platforms, AI architectures, or cloud-native engineering.
• Strong fluency in Responsible AI, security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical architecture, reference patterns, and engineering standards for enterprise agentic AI capabilities.
• Lead the Agentic Lab innovation roadmap with rapid experimentation and validation.
• Build reusable proofs-of-concepts and reference implementations to accelerate adoption.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to transition prototypes into production-ready enterprise capabilities.
• Embed Responsible AI and governance into architecture and validation methods from the start.
