Job summary

Quoris, LLC is seeking an Exasol Data Engineer for a healthcare analytics engagement. You will design, build, and optimize SQL pipelines in an Exasol environment, validate charts against medical records, and work with healthcare terminologies like LOINC, ICD-10, SNOMED.

The role is contract through year-end with remote work; you will collaborate with SMEs, ensure reliable, well-documented data solutions, and support value-based care program analytics across MSSP, Medicare Advantage Stars, HEDIS,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL data engineering experience with at least 2 years in healthcare provider or payer analytics.
• Deep SQL expertise including set-based logic, window functions, and query tuning on columnar or MPP platforms.
• Experience extracting and staging data from SQL Server sources including JDBC-based loads.
• Chart validation against medical records and correction loops with clinical SMEs.
• Working knowledge of healthcare terminologies including LOINC, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, and RxNorm.
• Familiarity with quality measure structure (eligible population, denominator, numerator, exclusions, value sets).
• Disciplined engineering practice including version control, peer review, documented logic, and repeatable deployment.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize complex SQL queries using set-based logic, window functions, and query tuning on Exasol or comparable platforms.
• Extract and stage data from SQL Server sources including JDBC-based loads.
• Perform chart validation by reconciling extracts against medical records and running correction loops with clinical SMEs.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare Terminologies (LOINC, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, RxNorm).
• Support quality measure development across eligible populations, denominators, numerators, exclusions, and value sets.
• Leverage Exasol in-database compute capabilities including Python UDFs and BucketFS model artifacts.
• Work with claims data structures (837, 835, 834, CMS CCLF) and CMS-HCC V28-based analytics.
• Maintain disciplined engineering practices including version control, peer review, and repeatable deployment.
