Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks an ETL Engineer with strong Java Spring Batch experience for a remote, contract role in the US. You will modernize large-scale ETL processes, decommission Informatica workflows, and deliver scalable data pipelines in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with Java and Spring Batch.
• Extensive experience in enterprise ETL or batch processing.
• CI/CD using Jenkins and Artifactory to support releases.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS (ECS, ECR, EC2).
• SQL and relational databases proficiency.
• Informatica legacy migration experience preferred.
• Agile development experience and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Informatica workflows and ETL processes.
• Design, develop, and enhance Java Spring Batch applications.
• Translate legacy ETL workflows into modern batch solutions.
• Develop data transformation, validation, and reconciliation logic.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and apps teams for migrations.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity in analysis.
• Troubleshoot batch issues and optimize performance for high volume data.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Create technical docs detailing ETL workflows and mappings.
