E Tech Group is seeking a Proposal and Estimating Engineer to lead proposal and estimate development for industrial automation in Consumer Products, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences and Material Handling sectors. The role involves reviewing RFPs, engineering drawings, and specifications to develop accurate estimates, while collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver compelling proposals.

Candidates should have 5+ years in industrial automation, a BS in Engineering, strong Excel

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Industrial Automation experience directly related to design, controls, programming, and electrical engineering.
• Extensive experience using company methods, tools, and processes specific to estimating and proposal management standards.
• Extensive Excel / Spreadsheet experience.
• MS Project experience is a plus.
• Understanding of ERP / Project Costing Systems and parametric estimation tools.
• Able to read, interpret drawings, specifications, and RFP/RFQ documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• DNA of collaboration and teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Prepare work to be estimated by reviewing RFPs, drawings, specs, and related documents.
• Meet with customers to review technical scope and engineering requirements.
• Develop estimates by identifying labor, material, travel and time requirements.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Work with engineers and project managers to refine estimates.
• Present prepared estimates by assembling numerical and descriptive information.
• Create proposal documents from estimates into templates.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Work remotely within EST and travel.
• Be an ambassador upholding core values and client success.
