Ocean Associates, Inc. (OAI) supports NMFS Office of Protected Resources in preparing ESA Section 7 consultations. The role involves analyses, drafting documents, data gathering for baseline and effects analyses, and supporting the initiation process for Federal actions.

Start date is as soon as possible. Location: Telecommute within the United States. Salary: $37.00–$40.00 per hour, full-time with benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in environmental regulations and the Federal regulatory process or related sciences.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback and implement appropriate action.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Federal staff with ESA section 7 analyses and documentation.
• Assist with writing ESA section 7 documents, including letters of concurrence and biological opinions.
• Assist with collecting best available scientific data for the action and action area, environmental baseline, and effects analyses.
• Assist with ESA section 7 consultations by reviewing relevant information and current scientific literature.
• Assist with requests for additional information from Federal agencies as needed during initiation requests.
• Support all stages of the section 7 consultation process with Federal action agencies and applicants.
