Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an ERM Model Risk Senior Analyst to plan and execute model governance and validations across the model lifecycle, collaborating with model owners and management to meet regulatory requirements and ensure proper documentation.

You will support ERM management reporting, committee governance, and risk oversight, developing KRIs and dashboards. Some travel is required; remote work is available within the U.S., with in-office requirements in specific hubs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a bank or financial institution documenting policies, standards, and procedures.
• 5+ years with PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Formulas).
• 2+ years programming in SQL, Python or similar for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with model validations, including stress testing and back-testing.
• Experience developing quantitative models (CECL, Fraud, or Credit underwriting).
• Ability to travel a few times a year for onsite meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead model risk validations and governance across the lifecycle.
• Document model policies, methodologies, and processes where appropriate.
• Maintain and enhance Model Inventory tracking and Risk Assessments.
• Validate documentation for each model or non-model tool.
• Lead internal and external model validations; stress testing and challenge.
• Provide recommendations to enhance MRM templates and procedures.
• Prepare and present to Risk Review Council; support audits and exams.
• Support enterprise risk reporting and governance initiatives.
• Develop and maintain risk reports, KRIs, dashboards, and remediation tracking.
• Support ERM framework implementation and continuous improvement.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline workflows and identify improvements.
• Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design.
